Fundraising campaign of Bina Istra and partners
Long-time friends and supporters of Depaul Croatia – Bina Istra and partners, have once again invested in improving the quality of our operations. In the fundraising campaign called “Life is priceless” which ended on July 10, 2021 with a humanitarian concert of Petar Grašo and Dubioza kolektiv on the summer stage in Opatija, two million kunas was collected which will be donated to the General Hospital Pula (purchase of a medical device necessary for procedures resuscitation), Clinical Hospital Centre Rijeka (purchase of a medical device to improve conditions at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics), Clinical Hospital Centre Zagreb (arrangement of a sterile room for Pediatric Oncology) and Depaul Croatia (adaptation of Haven House, day care centre for the homeless).
The diversity of the direction of donations of this campaign indicates the sensitivity of Bina Istra and partners to many dimensions of human life in which it can be endangered. Thus, support for Depaul Croatia’s activities in changing the lives of homeless people and people at risk of homelessness will enable better provision of holistic assistance to this socially vulnerable group, with the aim of systematic work to restore their dignity and rediscover life meaning – opening opportunities for work activation and employment, spiritual help tailored to individual needs – through many Depaul Croatia’s programs and projects.
During the event, a documentary film about humanitarian cooperation with the mentioned recipients of donations of the humanitarian action “Life is priceless”, with Mihaela Reščić as a producer and Filip Bašić – directing and editing (Meritum komunikacije and Doku Films), was premiered.
