“We traveled for 24 hours to get from our small town of Conches-Sur-Gondoire to Rijeka…” To Depaul, the Sisters of Charity and Haven House! Summer in Depaul has been enriched by young scouts from France for the second year. This year, a group of five young French Catholic scouts – from the Paris area – volunteered at Haven House, helping us every day, for two weeks, in many areas of our House’s activities. They lived in the neighborhood, in the dormitory for female students “Saint Vincent”, and spent their free time visiting the city of Rijeka and its surroundings. Novi list also wrote about them.

And we were all encouraged by their zeal, harmony and togetherness in helping the most needy. Let’s remember: Saint Vincent de Paul is the saint of Paris, but also of the whole of France. And it is always a joy for us to connect with those who grew up on the fertile soil of Vincent’s effective love. Thanks to our friends: Équipe de Compagnons Scouts Guides De France! Come to us again!
