On Monday, June 12, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. hours, in the Croatian National Theater of Ivan pl. Zajc, on the occasion of the Feast of St. Vitus, the patron saint of Rijeka, and the Day of the City, a formal session of the City Council of the City of Rijeka was held. During the session, Depaul Croatia was awarded the Golden Plaque “Crest of the City of Rijeka” for its significant long-term contribution in the field of social welfare and the promotion of human rights and fundamental values. At the ceremony, along with the mayor of Rijeka, Marko Filipović, and the archbishop and metropolitan of Rijeka, Msgr. Mate Uzinić, attended by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović.
